LOS PADRES FOREST : Motorcyclist Dies in Backcountry Crash
A 26-year-old Venice man was killed Sunday in Ventura County’s backcountry after he lost control of his motorcycle, went over an embankment and landed underneath the cycle.
Hector Gomez was riding a three-wheel motorcycle with a friend about noon when he lost control of the bike and fell down the embankment, said Craig Stevens, a deputy investigator with the Ventura County coroner’s office.
Gomez, who died at the scene, was riding on Gold Hill Road, just a few miles from Dutchman’s Campground when the accident happened.
