Verteq Inc. Names Chief Financial Officer

* Fred G. Wolfrum has joined Verteq Inc. in Santa Ana as chief financial officer. He was previously controller, treasurer and vice president of finance at Plantronics and Fairchild Semiconductor. Wolfrum also held consulting assignments as chief financial officer and chief operating officer.

* Linwood L. Little has been named vice president of sales and marketing at Subscriber Computing Inc. in Laguna Hills. Little was previously vice president of sales and marketing for NetBase Corp., a software development and consulting firm. Before that, he was vice president of the western region for Progressive Financial Services in Fairfield, Calif., and spent 10 years with Xerox Corp.

Unisys division--Kenneth Hallam’s name was misspelled in a Nov. 21 article. Hallam has been named director of technology of Unisys Corp.’s Storage Systems division in Mission Viejo.

* Caribe Cotton has joined the Anaheim/ Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau as convention sales director. She was previously sales manager at the Sheraton Long Beach Hotel, and spent five years with the San Diego Marriott Marina and Rancho Las Palmas Marriott. * Farzin N. Ghodsi has been named senior vice president of operations for Krause’s Furniture Inc. in Brea. Previously, Ghodsi was in charge of new vehicle program management at Ford Motor Co., and before that was involved in manufacturing engineering operations at General Motors Corp. In addition, Glen B. Streeter has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president of sales and marketing for Krause’s Sofa Factory, which is owned by Krause’s Furniture. He was formerly vice president of the western regional business unit of Stanley Door Systems.

* Cary Peterson has been appointed director of training and recruiting for Diedrich Coffee, based in Irvine. He was previously with Chevys Mexican Restaurants, where he implemented staff training programs.

* Ruth Chabolla has been named vice president of compliance for RNG Mortgage Service, a Santa Ana mortgage banking firm. She had been with Plaza Home Mortgage for eight years as vice president of loan shipping and post closing audit. Before that, Chabolla was assistant vice president of loan shipping at Beverly Hills Savings & Loan Assn.

* Keith Hallam has joined Unisys Corp.’s Storage Systems division in Mission Viejo as director of technology. He was formerly with ENDL Associates, a consulting firm he founded in 1988. Hallam also has management experience with IBM, Western Digital, Memorex and Ampex.

* Jeff Leane has been named regional manager of Merit Property Management Inc. in Mission Viejo. Leane, who has been with Merit since 1992, was previously a district manager.

* Dan Driscoll has been appointed vice president of the product division for Printrak International Inc., an Anaheim developer of automated fingerprint identification systems. He had been director of marketing. Before joining Printrak, Driscoll held marketing and engineering positions with Cymbolic Sciences International, Lincoln Laser Co. and Intel Corp.

* Margaret L. Jenkins has been named executive vice president of Morrison Lee & Stevens, an Irvine advertising and public relations agency. She had been senior vice president. Before joining the agency, Jenkins was director of international marketing for Taco Bell Corp., director of international marketing for Denny’s Inc. and vice president of marketing for El Pollo Loco Restaurants.

* Alain Danielo has been named to the newly created position of vice president of European operations for Newport Corp., an Irvine manufacturer of equipment for laser and optics technology development. He will oversee manufacturing operations in Evry, France, as well as the company’s sales subsidiaries throughout Europe, and will direct distribution operations in the Netherlands. Danielo had been president and general manager of the company’s Micro-Controle S.A. subsidiary since joining Newport in January. He was previously managing director of the electronics division of Valeo S.A., an automobile parts company, and general manager of Molex France S.A.R.L., a manufacturer of electronic components.

* Mark Lackner has joined Cybernetics Products Inc., a Santa Ana manufacturer of drills and routers for the electronic circuit board industry, as vice president of quality. He was formerly quality manager for Conceptual Design Industries and quality manager for Excellon. In addition, Brian Ellington was named director of customer service and technical support. He was previously director of field service for Electronic Calibration and Support Inc.

* Margaret Oakes and Mike Marconi have been appointed to oversee the Orange County and Los Angeles regional offices of Orange Coast Title Co. in Santa Ana. Oakes, who joined Orange Coast in 1990 when the company merged with Record Title Co. of Los Angeles, moved to senior vice president, from vice president. Marconi, the son of the founder and president, was appointed vice president. He had been assistant vice president.

* Richard Kain has been appointed vice president, general manager of Irvine-based Aurora Electronics’ Century division, a supplier of spare parts for personal computers. He also maintains his current position as vice president of operations.
