FHP International Elects Honeycutt to Board

* Van B. Honeycutt has been elected to the board of directors of FHP International Corp., a Fountain Valley health-care company. He is president and chief executive of Computer Sciences Corp. in El Segundo.

* Catherine M. Hundshamer has been named senior vice president, business banking department for Liberty National Bank in Huntington Beach. She was formerly vice president. In addition, Marilyn A. Berglund has been appointed vice president, administrative assistant to the president and corporate secretary to the board of directors. Berglund was previously an assistant vice president and assistant to the credit administrator. Tony Hartanto was appointed vice president, systems administrator. Before joining the bank last year, he was assistant vice president, data processing manager for Trans National Bank of Monterey Park.

* Richard C. Doyle has opened Doyle Communications Group, a marketing and public relations firm in Fountain Valley. Doyle was former sales and marketing vice president of Anaheim Hills Inc., an Orange County developer. Prior to that, he was a vice president of two advertising agencies and managing editor of the Anaheim Bulletin for more than six years.

* Marie K. Kroesen has joined HomeBase, an Irvine-based home improvement warehouse chain, as public relations manager. She was previously director of marketing at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, and before that, marketing director at the accounting firm of Bradshaw, Smith & Co.

* Brian W. Copple has been named a partner in the Orange County office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher law firm. He specializes in business and corporate finance.

* Richard B. Boyle has joined Chino Valley Bank as vice president and banking officer of the Fullerton office. He was previously president and chief executive officer of Pioneer Bank. Before that, Boyle was vice president and manager of Imperial Bank, and vice president and district manager for Crocker National Bank’s commercial banking department.
