COSTA MESA : 2 City Executives Get 3% Pay Hikes
The City Council this week gave the city manager and the city attorney a 3% raise.
City Manager Allan L. Roeder will be paid $124,541 for the coming year, and City Atty. Thomas Kathe will get $109,684.
Roeder, who has refused to accept pay hikes in the past four years, said he hesitantly accepted the raise approved on a unanimous vote Monday night.
Council members said Roeder and Kathe deserved the raises.
“I think both [Roeder and Kathe] have done an excellent job,” Councilman Peter F. Buffa said, adding that the 3% raises are a “modest” gesture of appreciation.
