Thanks to Backers of Flood Control District

* We want to take this opportunity to express our appreciation and to thank all of those who worked so long and hard to bring a coordinated Storm Water Conservation and Flood Control District to the Antelope Valley.

On Nov. 7, 1995, by an overwhelming majority, voters within the proposed district indicated that they were not willing to establish or fund the proposed district.

We believe that it is essential to the future of our Antelope Valley and Edwards Air Force Base that storm water conservation and flood control be addressed and provided for in the near future. Those in opposition to the formation of this proposed district said that there were better, more efficient and less costly ways to accomplish these goals. We hope there are; we wish them well.
