Vans Inc. Picks Financial Officer
* Mervyn J. McCulloch has been appointed vice president and chief financial officer of Vans Inc., an Orange-based shoe manufacturer. He joins the company from Armor All Products Corp., where he was executive vice president and chief financial officer. Before that, McCulloch was an audit partner for Deloitte & Touche.
* Jon Turner has been named vice president and general manager of AST Canada, part of Irvine-based AST Research Inc. He succeeds Anthony DeCristofaro, who has been appointed to AST Canada’s board of directors and will maintain an active role through the transition. Turner was previously president of Product Direct Network Inc. He also spent 16 years with IBM Canada and was president of CompuServe Canada, a wholesale computer distribution company. From 1991 to 1994, he was vice president of original equipment manufacturer sales for ATI Technologies.
* Matthew T. Pipkin has joined the Newport Beach office of Lee & Associates, a commercial real estate firm, as a senior vice president. He previously spent seven years in investment sales at the City of Industry office of CB Commercial, and before that, was with T. Rowe Price Realty Advisors.
* Stephen G. Holmes has joined Garte Torre Global Capital Markets in Irvine as executive vice president. He was formerly chief financial officer of AmeriQuest Technologies Inc., an Irvine computer distribution company. Before that, Holmes was a partner with Arthur Andersen’s Orange County office.
* Terry Goldfarb-Lee has joined O’Shea, Divine & Co. Inc. in Newport Beach as an executive search consultant. She had directed the marketing efforts of the Orange County office of Coopers & Lybrand LLP for the past seven years. Prior to that, Goldfarb-Lee was membership director for the Industrial League of Orange County.
* Peter J. Leets has been elected regional representative and a member of the board of directors for the International Assn. of Career Management Professionals. Leets is senior vice president and managing director for the Orange and San Diego counties’ practices of Right Associates, a management consulting firm.
* Gary L. Evans has been named to the newly created position of vice president of construction at Continental Air Conditioning Inc. in Garden Grove. He joined the company last year as project manager.
* Caroline Goyke has been appointed district manager for Merit Property Management in Mission Viejo. Goyke, who has been with Merit since 1990, was an account executive before the appointment. Before that, she was with the marketing department of Fashion Island in Newport Beach.
