Circus Circus Outlines Expansion Plans: Circus Circus Enterprises Inc. will spend $1.5 billion on new properties and expansion over the next four years, the company’s president told gaming analysts and investors. Glenn Schaeffer outlined an ambitious program that included twin pyramid-shaped towers that will add 950 rooms to the 2,500-room Luxor mega-resort at a cost of $240 million; a 1,000-room $60-million tower at the company’s 2,800-room Circus Circus hotel on the Las Vegas Strip; and a 4,000-room mega-resort on the site of the Hacienda Hotel.
