Company’s Radar Guiding Air Traffic in Bosnia
ITT Gilfillan said its Air Traffic Control radar systems are being used in the U.S. peacekeeping mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The U.S. Air National Guard has deployed an ITT-manufactured mobile approach control and landing system, and the U.S. Army has fielded an ITT precision approach landing system, the firm said.
The systems help air traffic controllers guide landing aircraft, even in harsh weather with poor visibility.
ITT Gilfillan is a unit of ITT Industries’ Defense & Electronics subsidiary.
