Jane Piasecki, longtime associate director of Newport Harbor Art Museum, has returned to the museum--in essentially the same position--after a 2 1/2-year absence. Piasecki, who resigned in 1993 to become assistant director of the Institute of American Indian Arts Museum in Santa Fe, N.M., has been named assistant director for finance and administration. She replaces Alan Yudin, who left the museum in December. Yudin was one of three people appointed to Newport Harbor’s No. 2 position since Piasecki’s absence, all of whom left after a year or less at the job. Hired in 1984 by then director Kevin Consey, Piasecki also has held managerial posts at the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences and the New York Hall of Science.
