Obituaries : Helen R. Allen; 18-Year County Resident

Longtime Ventura County resident Helen R. Allen died in a nursing home Wednesday. She was 80.
Allen, a native of Newton, Iowa, was a homemaker and member of Santa Clara Catholic Church in Oxnard. She lived in Ventura County for 18 years, and previously lived in Sherman Oaks.
She is survived by her son, Charles P. Allen, and his wife Samantha of Camarillo; two stepdaughters, Gloria Janssen of Clifton, Colo., and Ann Anderson of Houston; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Padre Serra Catholic Church, Camarillo. Burial will follow in Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo.
Arrangements are under the direction of Conejo Mountain Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
