The Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to hold its 55th annual dinner tonight, during which officials will install new board members and name the business and citizens of the year.

The family-owned Faulkner Farm will be named business of the year, while Norma and Charles “Bob” Andrews will share the citizens of the year award, chamber President Dan Diaz said.

“We chose Norma and Bob because of their dedication to the community,” Diaz said, adding that the couple have put together at least a dozen concerts to raise money for various community organizations.

Norma Andrews said she and her husband were surprised when they learned of the honor.

“We’re happy with the nomination, and we know that there are many other people in the community who are just as deserving as we are,” Norma Andrews said.

The business winner, Faulkner Farm, began operation 21 years ago as a chicken wire and cornstalk farm stand. The farm offers a variety of programs, including family day in the fields where families can select Christmas trees and pumpkins.

The chamber dinner will begin at 7 p.m. at Logsdon’s Restaurant in the Santa Paula Airport.
