The former chief regulator for the U.S. savings and loan industry and another former government official have been appointed to the board of directors of Realty World Holding Corp., the company announced Tuesday.

Danny Wall, former director of the Office of Thrift Supervision, is the owner of MDW Consulting, a financial, real estate and legislative consulting firm in Salt Lake City. Caspar Weinberger Jr., former liaison officer to the director of the United States Information Agency, is owner of Capital Communications of Virginia, a Washington consulting company. He is the son of the former secretary of defense.

Wall and Weinberger, who will be paid $7,500 per month each and will receive stock options for serving as directors, were appointed to help the real estate brokerage firm move into the investment banking arena, said President Brian MacDonald. The new directors also will assume executive positions within the company, MacDonald said. Their salary and the number of hours they will work has not yet been determined, he said.
