Orange Coast 94, Irvine Valley 84--Duane Curtis connected on eight of 10 shots, including four of five three-pointers, and finished with a game-high 30 points to lead visiting Orange Coast (12-10, 3-2). Matt Ambrose had 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Pirates.

Saddleback 92, Cypress 66--Anthony Carter, who was 13 of 24 from the field and had seven rebounds, scored a game-high 30 points for Saddleback (17-3, 5-0). Gil Gonzales had 15 points to lead Cypress (9-13, 1-4). Saddleback remains tied with Riverside for first place.

Riverside 102, Golden West 86--Shooting 55.4% from the field, Riverside never lost control of the game. Rod Scheureman, who had 17 rebounds, had 29 points to lead Golden West (12-13, 2-3). Gary Williams scored 26 points for Riverside, which remains undefeated in conference (22-3, 5-0).

Orange Coast 88, Irvine Valley 65--Jamie Shine, a sophomore forward, scored a career-high 35 points as visiting Orange Coast ended a two-game losing streak. Shine made 14 of 20 shots from the field and also had 12 rebounds. Jennifer Nakanishi had 29 for Irvine Valley (16-5, 2-3).

Saddleback 80, Cypress 29--Cha-ron Walker scored 21 points and got 12 rebounds for Saddleback, which led at the half, 40-12. The Gauchos (18-0, 5-0), ranked second in the state, have outscored opponents in its first five conference games by an average of 34 points.

Fullerton 68, Rancho Santiago 43--Host Fullerton (11-10, 3-2), which had three players foul out, played the last minute with four players, two of whom had four fouls. Lupie Janos had 15 for Fullerton.

Riverside 80, Golden West 69--Host Golden West couldn’t match the inside play of Riverside forward Alicia Rubio, who had a game-high 36 points. She made 11 of 13 shots from the field and 14 of 16 free throws.

Riverside is 19-5, 4-1. Blythe Linsey, a sophomore forward for Golden West (13-10, 3-2), tried to match Rubio with 30 points and 14 rebounds.
