Revenue, Profit Rise for State of the Art Inc.

State of the Art Inc. said profit nearly doubled in 1995 on a 24% increase in revenue. Net income for the accounting software developer increased last year to $5.7 million, or 51 cents a share, from $2.9 million, or 27 cents a share, the previous year. Revenue rose to $46.1 million from $37.3 million.

Net income for the fourth quarter more than doubled to $2 million, or 18 cents a share, from $977,000, or 9 cents a share, in the same period a year ago. Revenue was up 14% to $13.7 million from $12 million.
