Obituaries : Vira R. Sauer; Longtime County Resident
Vira R. Sauer, a longtime Ventura County resident, died Tuesday in an Oxnard hospital after a long illness. She was 78.
The Ventura resident was born in Hector, Ark., and also lived in Jacksonville, Fla. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Kelsie Long of Arcata, Calif., and a sister, Edith Fournier of Pomona, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura with the Rev. John Denharder of the Avenue Community Church of Ventura officiating. Burial will follow in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home.
