Alleged Serial Killer Rogers to Be Extradited to Florida

The Kentucky attorney general’s office announced Thursday that alleged serial killer Glen Rogers--accused of a murder in Van Nuys, among other places across the country--will be extradited to Florida, where prosecutors will seek the death penalty.

In the Florida case, Rogers is accused of first-degree murder in the death of a Tampa woman and the theft of her car before he was arrested in Kentucky. The case is much stronger than those in the other five states seeking extradition, said Atty. Gen. Ben Chandler.

Florida was the only state that would seek the death penalty against Rogers, another strong consideration, Chandler said.
