$800,000 to Be Spent on Road, Lot Repairs
Using money from its redevelopment agency and federal funds, the City Council voted this week to spend more than $800,000 to improve the city’s roads and clean up its vacant lots.
The road work, scheduled to begin in February or March, will make busy intersections safer and smooth the flow of traffic, city officials said.
The council also approved a plan to spruce up Euclid Street near Garden Grove Boulevard in preparation for the development of Garden Grove Education Center, anchored by Coastline Community College.
“It’s akin to painting your house when it’s up for sale,” Councilman Tony Ingegneri said of the city’s plans.
