Sync Research Inc.: The Irvine company, which sells devices aimed at getting more use out of older computer equipment, reported net income of $926,000, or 7 cents a share, for 1995, contrasted with a net loss of $1.4 million, or 12 cents a share, for 1994. Revenue was up 95% to $23.2 million from $11.9 million.

For the fourth quarter, profit was $641,000, or 4 cents a share, contrasted with a year-earlier net loss of $138,000, or 1 cent a share. Revenue increased 97% to $7.3 million from $3.7 million. The company completed its initial public stock offering in the fourth quarter.
