A large aftershock, measuring 6.0, rocked the southwestern Chinese town of Lijiang as rescue workers continued to search for survivors of a 7.0 quake two days earlier. The death toll from Saturday’s temblor climbed to at least 238 as rescue teams fanned out into devastated villages in search of survivors amid fears the final death toll could rise over 300, according to an official at the disaster coordination center in Lijiang, near the quake’s epicenter. Nearly 14,000 were injured in the quake and tens of thousands left homeless.
