Pollution Research and Control Corp., a Glendale maker of air pollution monitoring devices, reported a $670,000 fourth-quarter loss.

The company said it had a decrease in shipments during the quarter because of low working capital. It also cited investment and litigation losses, and growing competitive price pressures as reasons for the loss.

A year earlier, the company earned $133,000. Its fourth-quarter sales fell 16%, to $1.24 million from $1.48 million.
