A New York City cabdriver pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges that he harassed Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani after the mayor had snubbed Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat last year.

Mohammad Ali, 33, an illegal Pakistani immigrant, was sentenced to the maximum penalty of 15 days and turned over to immigration officials for deportation.

During the United Nations’ 50th anniversary celebration in October, Giuliani had the chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization ousted from a Lincoln Center concert. Ali later screamed at the mayor that he was going to kill him over the incident.
