Countywide : Aronson Is Appointed Superior Court Judge
Richard M. Aronson, an Orange County Superior Court commissioner, was appointed by Gov. Pete Wilson on Wednesday to the position of Superior Court judge.
He will succeed Judge Phillip E. Cox, who recently retired, officials said.
Aronson, a resident of Laguna Hills, has served as court commissioner since 1989.
Previously, Aronson was a senior staff attorney for the Fourth District Court of Appeals and a deputy public defender in Orange County from 1981 to 1988.
He is a member of the California Judges Assn., the California Court Commissioners Assn. and the Orange County Bar Assn.
Aronson, 46, will be paid $107,390 a year in his new position.
