Pakistani Village Hit by Avalanche; 36 Killed

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan —
An avalanche wiped out a remote village in Pakistan’s Kashmir region, where rescue workers recovered at least 36 bodies Sunday.
The hamlet of Bugnawah, 90 miles north of the Kashmiri capital, Muzaffarabad, was hit late Friday, state-run Pakistan Television reported.
It was the third fatal avalanche in Pakistan in less than two weeks. At least 68 people have died overall.
