Randy Peskin Closes ProMar, Joins Baker / Winokur / Ryder

Sports and entertainment marketing executive Randy Peskin has closed his ProMar International company and joined entertainment publicists Baker/Winokur/Ryder Public Relations.

Peskin plans to help the company expand further into sports public relations. Peskin works with such athletes as Vlade Divac, Bob Golic and Steve Beuerlein.

* Christine Birch has been promoted to senior vice president of market research for Columbia TriStar Motion Pictures. Paula Askansas has been promoted to vice president of media relations and promotion for Columbia TriStar Television.

* Marilyn Wilson has been named vice president of specials for ABC Entertainment.

* Susan Kantor has been named senior vice president of advertising and promotion at MCA Television Group’s newly restructured worldwide TV distribution unit.

* E! Entertainment Television has named Chris Fager senior vice president of international development.

* Michelle Hunt has been named vice president of media relations for Paramount Television Group.

* At the Fox Broadcasting sales department, Hank Close has been named senior vice president of Eastern sales and Debbie Myers has been named senior vice president of Western and special program sales. Vice presidents Neil Mulcahy and Laura Nathanson have been named group sales executives, and Neil Baker and Dennis Ray have been promoted to vice presidents and group sales executives.
