* Robert R. Naranjo has been hired as a senior designer for Ventura-based IPC Systems Engineering. He will work on mechanical and electrical designs.

Naranjo previously worked for Fenner Engineering in Ventura and Bartlett Design Associates in Santa Barbara.

* Teri Formanek has joined Apama Inc. as its manager for the Ventura County area. Her office is at 365 Esplanade Drive, Suite 101, Oxnard.

Apama is an employer organization that allows other companies to lease its staff as permanent workers.

Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia has named Ron Broschart to the new position of director of sales and promotions. Broschart has been with Six Flags for more than 20 years.

The theme park also said that Bonnie Rabjohn, its current public relations manager, would take on an additional post as its regional promotions manager.

Roger Burlage, chief executive of Live Entertainment Inc., has been elected to the additional post of chairman of the Van Nuys videocassette distributor.

He replaces Anthony J. Scotti, who said he decided to retire as chairman of Live because of his growing obligations as chairman and chief executive of All American Communications.

* The Wellness Community-Valley / Ventura has hired Kenneth R. Edwardsen as executive director. He will be responsible for day-to-day administrative and fund-raising operations.

* Attorney Brent A. Jones has been voted president and chief executive officer of New Era Technologies International. Jones has been the corporate counsel since 1994, and he recently closed his law practice in Ventura to head the company.

New Era, a Ventura company, licenses new and emerging patented environmental technologies.

* Edward O’Donnell has joined Investors Title Co. in the Los Angeles / Ventura region. He will handle a full range of developers’ services for investors, brokers, land developers, engineers, subdividers and attorneys.

He is on the board of directors of the Building Industry Assn., Los Angeles / Ventura chapter, and the Sales and Marketing Council.

* Robin C. Woodworth of Ventura has been named director of development for Mary Health of the Sick Convalescent & Nursing Hospital in Newbury Park. Woodworth has business and volunteer experience in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

The hospital is in the middle of a $2-million capital campaign to renovate and add to existing facilities, equipment and grounds.
