Man Gets 30 Days in Jail for Killing Mother’s Cat

NEW YORK —
A New York man was sentenced Monday to 30 days in jail for hurling his mother’s cat out of a fifth-floor apartment window during an argument, killing it.
Jajuann Anderson, 18, pleaded guilty on Feb. 9 to a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty in the Feb. 6 incident in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, Dist. Atty. Charles Hynes said. Anderson also was sentenced to three years’ probation, ordered to attend psychological counseling and ordered to stay away from his mother.
