Nation IN BRIEF : COLORADO : Wolf Released Into Yellowstone Is Killed

A 92-pound female gray wolf that was released into Yellowstone National Park last year as part of a controversial plan to reintroduce the species into the northern Rocky Mountains was shot to death over the weekend, federal officials in Denver said. The wolf, known as No. 11, was found in a remote ranching area of Meeteetse, Wyo., not far from the park, U.S. Fish and Wildlife spokeswoman Sharon Rose said.
