Jack J. Reeves; Producer, Real Estate Developer

Jack J. Reeves, 74, television and motion picture producer, and real estate developer. Born in Denver, Reeves served in the Merchant Marine during World War II, then began his career with RKO in Paris and then MCA in Beverly Hills. He worked as production manager for television stations in San Diego and Milwaukee before moving to KTLA-TV Channel 5, and KTTV-TV Channel-11 in Los Angeles. Reeves later obtained the rights to the book “Darker Than Amber,” which he produced as a motion picture starring Rod Taylor. For the last 13 years, Reeves had been president of Albukhary Investments, a Far East international real estate company headquartered in La Jolla. On March 31 in La Jolla after lung surgery.
