Microsemi Corp.: The Santa Ana supplier of semiconductors reported that second-quarter net income increased 38%, to $1.8 million, or 22 cents a share, from $1.3 million, or 17 cents a share, for the prior-year period. Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was up 21%, to $39.1 million from $32.4 million. Net income for the first six months totaled $3.3 million, or 39 cents a share, a 38% gain from the $2.4 million, 30 cents a share, posted for the first half of the previous fiscal year. Revenue rose 24%, to $74.4 million from $60.1 million.
