NationsBank Paying $40 Million for Olympics Sponsorship: It will become the official bank of the 1996 Atlanta Games, providing all banking services inside the Olympic Village and at 24 outlets nearby for spectators. Charlotte, N.C.-based NationsBank Corp. said it expects to bolster its revenue during the Olympics, particularly through foreign exchange services. The bank had previously declined to confirm published reports speculating what it was paying for its sponsorship.
