From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A former editor of the World Almanac got six months in prison for helping his ailing wife kill herself. George Delury, 62, admitted he mixed the drink for Myrna Lebov, 52, a writer who had multiple sclerosis. Delury said that he loved his wife and that she had told him she wanted to die. Prosecutor Thomas Schiels charged that Delury’s diaries showed that he had tired of caring for his wife and wanted to get rid of her.
