Re “Getty Trust Reaches Out to Community,” June 3: Your article was beautifully written and let me envision all the wonderful memories that are in my mind from visiting the museum so many times.

I honestly do not believe the museum has an elitist image, as someone suggested in the article. What it does convey is a very warm feeling of being a special person because you are there among some of the treasures of the world.

As Joseph Campbell said, “Follow your bliss.” My bliss is being able to use my five senses to enjoy all the wonderful artwork in the museum. I thank whatever higher powers there are for the generosity of J. Paul Getty and his family.
