Gibson Dominates Equestrian Trials

At the U.S. Olympic equestrian trials in Gladstone, N.J., Michelle Gibson of Roswell, Ga., and her bay stallion Peron scored 75.11 points in the Grand Prix Freestyle, her second dominant victory in as many days.

Guenter Seidel of Encinitas, Calif., on Graf George, scored 70.93 points to again finish second.

Tied for third were Kathleen Raine of Rolling Hills and Steffen Peters of Escondido.

The trials will conclude next weekend.

Tickets for more than 150 Olympic events, including opening and closing ceremonies, have been distributed free to more than 21,000 disadvantaged children by the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. The Children’s Olympic Ticket Fund was financed by daily auctions of Olympic countdown T-shirts.
