Franklin Telecom of Westlake Village has struck an agreement to acquire Malibu Internet Services.

Malibu Internet is involved in advanced Web page authoring and development. Franklin Telecom designs and manufactures communications devices and software.

Franklin will absorb Malibu Internet’s employees.

“With the ongoing Internet explosion, the demand for Web pages that are creative, attractive and tailored to meet exact specifications of both individuals and corporate identities is expanding rapidly,” said Franklin President Frank Peters. “We are seeing the beginning of a revolution in the way we can conduct business. Our customers can have us develop secure credit card information . . . so the user can place an order directly over the Internet.”
