Chrysler Reports Slight Rise in June Sales: The No. 3 auto maker said its sales increased 1% overall from June 1995, led by a 2% increase in sales of light trucks. Car sales were down about 1%. Year to date, Highland Park, Mich.-based Chrysler Corp.’s overall sales were up 13%. General Motors Corp., Honda and Nissan planned to release their June figures today, followed by Ford Motor Co. and Toyota on Wednesday. Analysts had anticipated Chrysler’s unspectacular numbers. Chrysler set a monthly sales record in June 1995, which it broke again last month at 245,289 units. Last month, with one less sales day, Chrysler sold 228,828 vehicles. However, June’s figure was high enough to set a June daily sales rate record.
