City Seeks Comments on Cable TV Service

Share

Although Entertainment Express’ Moorpark franchise will not expire until 1999, the City Council tonight is scheduled to begin taking testimony from residents about the cable television company’s quality of service.

The public hearing will be the first of several opportunities that residents will have to offer council members their thoughts on the company before the city begins franchise-renewal negotiations. The next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 18.

The city has received complaints about the sound and picture quality on Channel 10, which broadcasts city government meetings. According to a staff memo, residents have also complained about the availability of repair crews.
