Donald L. Peitzke; ‘Learning Curve’ Author

Donald L. Peitzke, 81, management consultant and author of the book “The Learning Curve.” Peitzke was born in Iowa and grew up in Alabama and California’s Orange County. A philosophy major at UCLA, he became an expert in procurement and management. His book outlined the principles he had come to follow. He also wrote a column for trade publications and taught management techniques at UCLA Extension. Peitzke worked for 32 years at North American Aviation, predecessor of Rockwell International, becoming director of material. In 1974, he founded Donald Peitzke Associates, a management consulting firm based in Connecticut. On Wednesday in Mission Viejo of complications from hip replacement surgery.
