Associated Press
NAPLES, Italy —

Five executives of cigarette distribution firms were placed under investigation last week by prosecutors in Naples. Philip Morris was not directly implicated in the probe.
The chief prosecutor in Naples, Raffaele Marino, claimed the companies failed to pay taxes to the state tobacco monopoly since 1987.
