Hemingway Death

Share

In response to Robert A. Jones’ column (“The Room Where You Die Alone,” July 3), I would like you to know that Margaux Hemingway did not “die alone.” She had hundreds of friends all over the world that knew her and cared about her. As her personal manager for the past seven years, and with my wife Sandy being her best friend for the past 24 years, we have received faxes from Argentina, Malaysia, Italy and Germany from people who loved her.

We have received faxes from charities such as the Epilepsy Society, the City of Hope and the Humane Society that had the pleasure of working with Margaux on their fund-raising efforts.

Margaux was a warm, sensitive and loving woman who cared for people, charities and animals.
