Renters and homeowners 62 and older may sign up for a free consulting service at Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center to determine if they are eligible for a tax refund.

Volunteer tax consultants will be at the center from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. July 18 and Aug. 15. The center is at 340 W. Commonwealth Ave.

To qualify for the refund, the taxpayer must earn less than $13,200 a year, must be 62 or older by Dec. 31, or be disabled or blind. Also, the person must pay at least $50 a month in rent or house payments.
