MICHIGAN : Kevorkian Aids in Californian’s Death
Jack Kevorkian helped a 39-year-old California woman with multiple sclerosis commit suicide with a drug injection and took the body to a hospital himself, confident that the “era of harassment and persecution” is over. It was the 33rd suicide in which Kevorkian has taken part since 1990 and the fifth since his most recent court victory, on May 14. In practically all of the previous cases, the patients died by inhaling carbon monoxide. Kevorkian and a doctor took the body of Rebecca Badger of Goleta to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Detroit, Kevorkian’s attorney, Geoffrey Fieger, said. Fieger refused to say how, where or when Badger died.
