UGANDA : 90 Sudanese Refugees Killed in Camp
From Times Wire Reports
Unidentified assailants killed more than 90 Sudanese refugees in weekend attacks in northern Uganda, U.N. officials said. The assaults on the Acholi Pii camp, which houses more than 16,000 refugees from fighting in southern Sudan, also left 20 people wounded, said Michelle Quintaglia of the World Food Program in Nairobi, Kenya. Witnesses said more than 150 armed men attacked on Friday and again on Saturday, setting fire to huts and vehicles at the camp near Kitgum, about 220 miles north of the capital, Kampala.
