The dreaded “logo cops,” who have been relentless in tripping up “unofficial” vendors using Olympic symbols, might have met their match.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a coalition of doctors and public-health workers has been covering the Atlanta area with posters, buttons, business cards and handbills--in 17 languages--promoting “safe sex.”
They also have been passing out condoms--in the Olympic colors of blue, black, red, yellow and green. Condoms that resemble Olympic rings, in other words.
The logo cops are powerless for two reasons: Since nothing is being sold, no laws are being broken, and there is no official Olympic condom.
