National Education Corp.: The Irvine provider of interactive multimedia products and services for the education and training marketplace reported net income of $2.2 million, or 6 cents a share, for the second quarter. That contrasted with a net loss of $84 million, or $2.79 a share, for the same period in 1995, which included one-time charges related to restructuring the National Education Training Group. Revenue increased 7% to $66.6 million from $62.3 million.

First half net income totaled $2.8 million, or 8 cents a share, contrasted with a net loss of $90.2 million, or $3.02 a share, for the corresponding six months of 1995. Revenue increased 7% to $126 million from $118.2 million.
