One hand clapping for NBC missing the market by ignoring Olympic soccer coverage. On nine days we get canoeing. For soccer, which drew more than 90,000 at the Rose Bowl and 70,000 at the Meadowlands, we get the men’s final, late night. For women’s soccer, where the U.S. is the favorite, we get nothing. Who in NBC’s cuckoo land makes these decisions?

When did they change the name to the Nationalistic Broadcasting Company? I seem to have missed the announcement.
