QUESTIONABLE QUOTE

I was shocked that you chose a quote from “Lolita” in “Puttin’ on the Spritz” (by Hilary Sterne, Style, June 16).

“Lolita” is about child rape; it is not a paean to the sensuality and fragrance-orientation of the adult women discussed in the article. Let’s avoid confusing the rape and pedophilia of “Lolita” with the mature adult sexual world that does need to be discussed openly in print.
