Marriage Benefits

* Our political and religious leaders are defining marriage as limited to heterosexuals for the purpose of procreating. If this is really the definition, then why aren’t they enacting laws to deny spousal benefits (medical insurance, Social Security, etc.) until after the birth of the first child to any couple?
