Opportunity for Volunteering
The San Fernando Valley Counseling Center needs volunteer counselors of all ages and ethnic backgrounds to provide affordable counseling services for the community.
The center, a nonprofit, low-fee mental health agency in Northridge, has been serving the public since 1971.
There are no educational or other prerequisites to volunteer, and interns are also encouraged to apply.
An informational meeting about the training program will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 17 at the First Lutheran Church of Northridge, located at 18355 Roscoe Blvd.
For more information, contact Thelma Flashberg at (818) 341-1111.
