Package Causes Bomb Scare

PITTSBURGH, Pa. —
Police said Monday that a suspicious package found outside a federal courthouse that sparked a bomb alert turned out to contain batteries.
Police found the package in downtown Pittsburgh after receiving an anonymous call Monday morning saying bombs had been placed at two federal buildings.
Security officers evacuated the federal building, where about 2,700 people work, and combed it for explosives but found nothing.
