The Bread Pot

Bread doesn’t grow on trees, but it can be grown in a pot. Think of it as gardening for the MTV generation: all the satisfaction of harvesting your own food with almost-instant gratification. Every Claybaker kit comes with a pouch of quickbread mix and a glazed flower pot. You add the appropriate liquid--soda water, milk or beer--then mix and bake. If you don’t have a green thumb, so much the better--most people prefer their bread in browns. The pots are reusable, and there are several other bread recipes in the box.
